and that was a few years ago when prices were higher, and it was in good shape. Search history and you will see this is not that uncommon. At that price it won't look new, but neither will a stock one. I just think it's a waste of money to buy a stock one, unless you really want stock, or it is rediculously cheap. Buying an aftermarket cat-back is one of the most common upgrades. About it sounding "riced": you can search and read, or post about one that you are considering buying, to get others' opinions. One of the vendors has a listen-to-it feature on thier site (maybe Z1?), to give you an idea. Find some local Z guys and listen to thiers. ... No need to buy new cats unless they are bad. There are ways to pressure test them, but that costs some money. I've not looked at Z cats, but if they are straight enough, you can do a visual. On another car I had, I could see that the cat was clogged, (my guess at the time was that the previous owner had used leaded fuel). Maybe someone that knows more about cat testing will chime in. You could search the topic also.
